“ICollect” is an app created for the Amazon Design Creative Jam challenge. It inspires high school students to be more aware of their surroundings through design, be able to collect their work in some sort of a e-portfolio and connect with others. It contains a virtual camera feature, where it can be used to scan any sort of designs in everyday life (packaging, web, app design). In doing so, they can obtain more information about the design and also get inspired by everyday design. They can build up their eportfolio with works of their own and inspirations so that when they would like to apply for a job, they could share the link of the eportfolio with the employers so that they can check our their work and inspirations (generated link kinda like Github). Another feature is the connect feature where they can connect with mentors in the field and chat with others. ICollect is more than just a social networking app, it broadens the horizon for a new change and brings a new perspective that every designer will appreciate.
